بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

101:1بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ الْقَارِعَةُ
The Shocker.

101:2مَا الْقَارِعَةُ
What is the Shocker?

101:3وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ
What will explain to you what the Shocker is?

101:4يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ
The Day when the people will be like scattered moths.
5
101:5وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوشِ
And the mountains will be like tufted wool.
6
101:6فَأَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ
As for he whose scales are heavy.
7
101:7فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَاضِيَةٍ
He will be in a pleasant life.
8
101:8وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ
But as for he whose scales are light.
9
101:9فَأُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌ
His home is the Abyss.
10
101:10وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا هِيَهْ
Do you know what it is?
11
101:11نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ
A Raging Fire.
