بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

91:1بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ وَالشَّمْسِ وَضُحَاهَا
By the sun and its radiance.
2
91:2وَالْقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَاهَا
And the moon as it follows it.
3
91:3وَالنَّهَارِ إِذَا جَلَّاهَا
And the day as it reveals it.
4
91:4وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا يَغْشَاهَا
And the night as it conceals it.
5
91:5وَالسَّمَاءِ وَمَا بَنَاهَا
And the sky and He who built it.
6
91:6وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا طَحَاهَا
And the earth and He who spread it.
7
91:7وَنَفْسٍ وَمَا سَوَّاهَا
And the soul and He who proportioned it.
8
91:8فَأَلْهَمَهَا فُجُورَهَا وَتَقْوَاهَا
And inspired it with its wickedness and its righteousness.
9
91:9قَدْ أَفْلَحَ مَنْ زَكَّاهَا
Successful is he who purifies it.
10
91:10وَقَدْ خَابَ مَنْ دَسَّاهَا
Failing is he who corrupts it.
11
91:11كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِطَغْوَاهَا
Thamood denied in its pride.
12
91:12إِذِ انْبَعَثَ أَشْقَاهَا
When it followed its most wicked.

91:13فَقَالَ لَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ نَاقَةَ اللَّهِ وَسُقْيَاهَا
The messenger of God said to them, “This is the she-camel of God, so let her drink.”

91:14فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَعَقَرُوهَا فَدَمْدَمَ عَلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ بِذَنْبِهِمْ فَسَوَّاهَا
But they called him a liar, and hamstrung her. So their Lord crushed them for their sin, and leveled it.
15
91:15وَلَا يَخَافُ عُقْبَاهَا
And He does not fear its sequel.
